Longsilog: The Breakfast Classic
Transform your mornings with this Filipino breakfast staple! It combines browned longanisa, garlic fried rice (sinangag), and eggs (itlog) for a hearty and satisfying start to the day.
- Magnolia Skinless Vigan Longanisa
- 2 cups cooked rice cold
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- Eggs fried sunny side up or scrambled
- Salt pepper, and oil
Brown the Vigan Longanisa in a skillet and drain excess fat.
To make sinangag, sauté garlic in 1 tbsp oil until fragrant. Add rice, sprinkle water, and stir fry. Season with salt to taste.
Fry eggs as desired.
Plate with longanisa, sinangag, and eggs. Serve with tomato salad or banana ketchup.
